With another interest rate hike, the Bank continues to expect economic growth to stall through the end of 2022 and into the first half of 2023. Inflation is expected to ease over the next year, falling to 3 per cent in 2023 and returning to the 2 per cent inflation target in 2024.

Regular buyers seem to be feeling the squeeze the most while cash buyers seem to be making the most the conditions created by these inflation curbing policies. This may explain why the luxury and high-end real estate market seems to be holding up best at the moment.

If you are unsure about what these changes mean for your unique real estate goals, I would be happy to talk and provide targeted resources and data for your area.

With interest rates remaining high, 2023 is expected to be a tough year for the Canadian economy.

Across the province, on the supply side, slow sales activity has resulted in higher inventory, but from record lows. Forecasts are now predicting a lower-than-normal market activity for the upcoming year.

While this can create opportunities for people looking to buy, proper preparation is now more than essential than ever for sellers in this market.

Winter is almost here ❄️

It can be confusing for new homeowners to know how to get their home winter ready. Adequate home maintenance can not only help avoid stressful incidents but also increases the levels of overall comfort for the people living in the home.

As a REALTOR®, my goal is not only to help my clients buy or sell a home. I'm also here after the sale to make sure my clients are comfortable in their new home and increase their equity. This means providing tips on how to keep their home in good shape.

Fireplaces are big during the winter months. So whether your fireplace is gas or wood powered, getting a professional chimney sweep to clear out any built-up soot or debris is a MUST on a home maintenance list. Doing this at least once per year can help prevent chimney fires and save a lot of headaches.

Follow for more tips to get your home ready for the colder months.
