We recently collaborated with a musician, Turner (aka Crittr) on a music video. We had never shot a music video as a company together and were thrilled at the idea of creating a story with him around his song.

We were able to experiment with Chat GPT to speed up the process of storyboarding. This is a practice we will be using more of in the future. It helped us visualize the specific camera shots we wanted for every frame and because we used AI the images were super clear so Turner could see exactly what we meant with the point of view we were trying to capture for his project.

The other amazing part of utilizing storyboarding before filming is you are beginning the post-production visualization in the pre-production session. This means you are editing at the beginning before you have even started production. Editing is so crucial with narrating a story and if you have the editing in mind at the beginning you will never lose your way when you are actually on the shoot. You save yourself a lot of time and don't have any unfortunate surprises with your project when you sit down to edit the final. This is a practice that companies such as PIXAR have capitalized on and encourage other creators to utilize.

So we learned many things:
-AI storyboarding/including editing in the pre-production as opposed to the end
-How to do quick orc makeup
-How to direct with fake teeth in
-Collaborating with composers/musicians is something we want to do more of in the future.
