Meet Victor, our little flightless wonder. This sweet young budgie came to us as a stray through ROAM - Reuniting Owners with Animals Missing, and while no one came forward, he has completely stolen our hearts.

Victor currently can’t fly very well due to being terribly clipped on both his wing and tail feathers. He gets around by hopping and the occasional clumsy landing. The good news is this is temporary. As his damaged feathers moult out, he will gradually regain proper flight and confidence.

Underneath his scruffy feathers is a bright, curious little bird who is already on his way to a full comeback. Victor is looking for a home with another friendly budgie for companionship, ideally a female but a compatible male could also work.

After 6 months in care, and more vet visits than we can count, Bella has officially found her forever family!

She kept us on our toes with one medical issue after another, but she's finally feeling her best and ready for this next chapter. A huge thank you to the team at Elk Lake Veterinary Hospital for all the care they've given Bella over the past few months. We couldn't have gotten her to this point without you.

Back in April, Sufia set up a lemonade stand and raised $80 in support of the animals in our care. With summer arriving, she decided to do it again and raised an incredible $100! 😲🤯

After dropping off her donation, Sufia enjoyed spending some time with the chattiest cat in the world, Polly.
