Hon. Jagrup Brar, Surrey-Fleetwood
Minister of Mining and Critical Minerals
Heavenly Father, we lift up Hon. Jagrup Brar to You today and ask that You surround him with the peace of Your presence. Bless his steps as he works to support his constituents and to improve the lives of all British Columbians. Grant him wisdom as he supports the mining industry in our province. Lord, we thank You for his heart for service and his desire to see others treated with dignity and respect. Continue to pour into his life and the lives of his wife and children. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Jagrup Brar was first elected as the MLA for Surrey-Panorama Ridge in 2004 and served until 2013. He then served as the MLA for Surrey-Fleetwood from 2017 to the present. Jagrup is the Minister for Mining and Critical Minerals. Jagrup previously served as Minister of State for Trade. He also previously served as the official opposition spokesperson for a variety of files, including small business, healthy living and sport, employment and income assistance, as well solicitor general and public safety.

Jagrup has been active in the Surrey community for years. He is a dedicated local volunteer and has worked with a variety of local organizations providing services to young people, seniors, the homeless, and new Canadians. Jagrup is an advocate for the most vulnerable and has undertaken the Welfare Challenge to tell a story about living in poverty in British Columbia. He lives in Surrey with his wife, Rajwant, and their two children, Noor and Fateh.

MLA Rob Botterell, Saanich North and the Islands
Jesus, thank You for the life and work of MLA Botterell. Thank You for instilling in him a commitment to support social justice and right injustices in this world. Lord, we pray that he would continue to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with You (Micah 6:8). Grant him wisdom and discernment as he walks through challenges. Make his paths straight, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Rob was elected MLA for Saanich North and the Islands in 2024. He has dedicated his career to fighting for social and economic justice, as well as environmental protection. His previous work included representing First Nations governments in private law for over 25 years, as well as positions as a financial comptroller for a major Canadian bank, a public servant in the Ministry of Finance, and leading the team responsible for developing provincial laws relating to freedom of information.

Rob has lived on the Saanich peninsula for many years, now calling Pender Island home.

MLA Jennifer Blatherwick, Coquitlam-Maillardville
Almighty Father, we lift up Coquitlam-Maillardville MLA Jennifer Blatherwick to You in prayer and thank You for her willingness to serve the province and her electoral district. Please grant her wisdom and discernment in all the decisions she must make, and provide innovative solutions to best serve the needs of the province. Please keep her family close to You this season, and may they be healthy and safe in all their daily activities. In Jesus’ holy name, we pray. Amen.

Jennifer Blatherwick was elected MLA for Coquitlam-Maillardville in 2024. She is the Parliamentary Secretary for Gender Equity.

Before being elected to the Legislative Assembly, Jennifer was a two-term school board trustee for School District 43 and was the past executive director for the Access Youth Outreach Services Society. Jennifer has been lucky to raise five children in Coquitlam.

MLA Rosalyn Bird, Prince George-Valemount
Jesus, thank You for MLA Bird and for her dedication to serving her country, province, and community. Lord, You have given her a heart for service and justice. We pray that You would continue to pour into her life and help her serve the people and causes she is passionate about. God, continue to refine her heart to align with Yours. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Rosalyn Bird is the MLA for Prince George-Valemount and the Official Opposition Whip. She was first elected in 2024. Rosalyn's career in the Canadian Forces is marked by dedication and success. She embarked on this journey in 1990, starting as a Boatswain and later re-classifying as a Resource Management Clerk. In 2005, Rosalyn was commissioned as a Naval Logistics Officer.

During her career, Rosalyn deployed in support of NATO and played a role in Forward Logistics Support for Southeast Asia relations, Op Apollo, and Op Altair in support of Afghanistan. Her service took her across Canada, from BC to Nova Scotia and as far north as Ellesmere Island, Nunavut, at CFS Alert.
