Did you know that drip line irrigation systems can help you save time, water and improve your plant health? πŸ’¦

This workshop will cover the basics of what you need to know in order to design, build, maintain and repair a simple above ground drip line irrigation system. Using the system at Welland Community Orchard as an example, we will go through design considerations, required components and annual maintenance. Then we will get some hands-on experience repairing common damage to irrigation systems and learn about what tools and supplies you need to make your own irrigation repair kit.

We are hiring a Harvest Support Worker for the Fruit Tree Project! 🍎

This is a seasonal, physically active summer position focused on picking and sorting fresh fruit. We’re looking for someone organized, enthusiastic, and comfortable leading groups to help coordinate fruit picking outings, run sorting sessions, and deliver harvested fruit to our partner organizations.

Please note: This position is funded by the Canada Summer Jobs grant. Applicants must be between 15–30 years old and be Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents to be eligible.
