I have lived around the world and settled in Colwood, right on the Esquimalt Lagoon, pictured above, in 2007. I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. I have a daughter whom I cherish beyond life itself, loving parents, the best friends ever, and I work in digital marketing and strategy — love gardens and gardening, travel, and believe the reason we exist is to create kindness in the universe. I’m admittedly not always successful, but I’m trying.

I was Colwood’s Canada 150 Community Leader in 2017 and that experience partially formed why I ran for Colwood City Council In 2018, and was humbled that 1003 trusted me enough to vote for me. It was truly a formative experience. Currently I am serving my community as a board member for the Colwood Garden Society, and as a member of the City of Colwood’s Waterfront Coastal Process Committee, a select committee of Council established to understand and address coastal processes of Colwood’s marine foreshore, especially with respect to global climate change. Our final report will inform the decision-making processes while preserving and enhancing Colwood’s coastline over the short, mid and long term.

The future we bequeath our children is important to me, as is preserving Colwood’s uniqueness in a sea of fast-paced and incomprehensible change. So too is making Colwood a home for all who wish to live, work, play, and raise a family.
