The Unquiet Minds: Youth Anthology of Art and Poetry (2022) will be added to the Greater Victoria Public Library's collection. Come to the launch party and meet some local authors and their books. I will be there as the anthology's editor-in-chief.

Greater Victoria is home to an incredible community of writers — and we’ve been proud to showcase their work for the past ten years through GVPL’s Emerging Local Authors Collection.

On Saturday, May 24, join us in the Central Branch Courtyard as we mark this milestone with the launch of the 2025 collection. Enjoy light refreshments, meet some of the authors, and help us celebrate a decade of storytelling, creativity, and community. All are welcome.

So thrilled to share our inaugural World Poetry Day Celebration!!!

•Please join the Victoria Arts Council, Victoria Poetry Project, and Planet Earth Poetry for an informal gathering to reflect on our shared offerings. All poets and lovers of poetry are welcome: page poets, spoken word artists, and anyone who enjoys playing with words.

WHEN: 7-9pm, Tuesday Mar 21, 2023

For those who would like to participate, please bring along your favourite writing implements (pen + paper or digital), and we will have poetry prompts available.

7-8pm: Relaxed co-writing session
8-9pm: Opportunity to share at an informal open mic hosted by Torsten Schoeneberg.
