When the deer decide to come take a look at what’s happening in the forest. They didn’t seem to mind and we’re not scared of the noise or presence of our crew.

A beautiful place to set up and mill some logs in the Kindwood forest for the owners. We salvaged dead trees or winter blow downs from the past storm around the 100 acres and produced a pile of lumber for use on their farm. bout 12,000 bdft over about 6.5 days.

Other parts of the this project required us to fall the dead trees, limb the logs, skid them to the logging location and to prevent forest fire fuel from the limbs and to prevent smoke from slash burning we also chipped all the debris in to accessible mulch piles to be used for pathways and gardens around the property. This will return nutrition back to the forest and also prevent added smoke to our air.
