RIBFEST FRAUD AND THEFT
$500 REWARD FOR ARREST AND CONVICTION

This past weekend over 300 volunteers worked tirelessly at Esquimalt Ribfest for three long days to raise funds for local children’s charities. Sadly, some thief, or perhaps thieves, with a 3D printer created tokens that were similar to the ones we sell to raise funds for these charities. We estimate that this theft/fraud will cost the charity thousands – money that would have gone to support school programs or youth sports or individual kids on the lower end of the socio-economic scale whose families need a hand up.

As a result, we are offering a reward of $500 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the people created these fraudulent tokens and stole from so many children’s charities.
