Tonight is the night for our Beaver colony start up meet and greet for parents and youth ages 5-8! Let us know that you are attending so we can prepare the supplies needed. DM for any questions!
Looking forward to seeing you tonight at 6pm at the View Royal bike park playground, you wont miss us in our red shirts and Scouting neckers!

We’re excited to host our first come-and-see Beavers gathering on Wednesday, May 6 at 6:00 pm! We’ll meet at the View Royal bike park playground at 1344 Pheasant Lane, let the kids burn a little energy (always a good strategy), then wander over to the View Royal Elementary School around 6:30 to link up with the Cubs and get a feel for the wider Scouting sections.
Our hope is you’ve had a chance to register yourself as a volunteer through myscouts.ca with 3rd Arbutus Beavers, but if life has been life-ing and you haven’t gotten to it yet, please still come. This is a low-pressure chance to meet, ask questions, and see if Scouting feels like a fit for your family.
We’re building the Beaver section as a family-centred, parent-involved Beaver colony, so this first evening is as much for grownups as for the youth. Come curious, come chat, come let your child explore. If your little one likes sticks, puddles, bugs, games, or organized chaos with good intentions, we may be your people. :)
We’re really looking forward to getting this started and would love to meet you. Feel free to reach out with questions, and if you’re coming, a quick note back is always helpful so we know who to watch for at the playground.

Know a young adventurer who loves to explore, learn new skills, and make friends? Bring them out to Cubs Bring-a-Friend Night and let them experience the excitement of Scouting firsthand!

Our Cub Pack has had an incredible year so far since September and we want to share in the fun with our friends — from sparking up confidence at a fire-lighting event in Goldstream Park, to spending a whole weekend camping at Camp Barnard, to learning basic first aid skills and even building their own first aid kits. And that’s just the beginning… there is so much more fun ahead!
