Creating Climate Resilience

This spring, from May 6th to June 3rd Creating Climate Resilience hosted a five week art making program at the University of Victoria Multifaith Centre. A group of 8 - 13 participants met on a weekly basis to discuss their thoughts and feelings about climate change and create visual art. This group consisted of a mix of undergraduate and graduate students and other youth from Greater Victoria from a range of backgrounds.

We explored topics including climate anxiety, ecological grief, hope, resilience and visions for a climate just future, among others. Thanks to the support of the Lawson Foundation we were able to provide meals prepared by Chilli Chutney Indian Restaurant. Huge gratitude to Campus United for letting us host these workshops in the beautiful Multifaith Centre, which provided access to the outdoors, beautiful natural lighting and a calming environment.
