Candy and Jesse bring you an evening of originals and covers accompanied by guitar and ukelele. 🎸

Candy Young is a local artist who has been playing ukelele and songwriting for over 15 years. She describes her music style as laid-back indie pop. She takes writing inspiration from the world around her and life experiences that many can relate to.

Jesse Cooke is another talented local musician who has been playing music for the past 25 years. He relates his music style as a mixture of blues, folk, and acoustic fingerstyle.

Songwriter Showcase | July 10th | Doors at 7:30pm 🎵

MNR presents a night of relaxed singer-songwriter music.

Join artists Sean Barrett, Brock Wiebe, and Danni Tess to the stage for an evening of covers and originals.

These local musicians will intertwine various genres from easy-going folk to indie rock, there will be something for everyone’s musical taste.

Doors will open at 7:30pm, music starting by 8pm.

📝Promted Poetry Night📝
- Poetry open mic just got elevated! Join hosts Jill and Meghan for a night of writing and reading.
- The group will listen to two songs which will act as writing prompts for your poetry. After a group writing session, those who wish to share their words will be invited to the stage to share what inspired them.
- Bring your own notebook and pen!
- This event is first come first serve (and there is a limited capacity so come on time 😉) Doors will open at 7pm, the event will start around 7:30pm.

Emily Steinwall is a multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter from Toronto, who is on tour in celebration of the first single from her highly anticipated sophomore album entitled “but, there’s beauty in the fall from Grace”. The album follows up her 2021 release , “Welcome to the Garden”, which won the SOCAN songwriters prize that year. In the wake of the latter’s verdant exploration of wide-eyed love and cosmic belonging, its sequel fully embraces darkness and strives to find the beauty within it. Join Emily and her band for an evening of music that ranges from grungey art-rock to sophisticated, heartfelt ballads.

Opening for Emily is talented local artist and singer songwriter Rachel Hickey.
