Miss. Crys Homecare
Miss. Crys Homecare is a PSW agency, that provides a broad range of personal support services.
To all my relations,
Today on Truth and Reconciliation Day, we pause to remember, to grieve and to honour.
As an Indigenous woman of Anishinaabe Ojibwe descent, as well as founder and owner of Miss Crys Homecare, for me this day is deeply personal. My grandfather, whom I am very close with, is a survivor of the Spanish Residential School for Boys. His story of resilience is one I carry with me every day. But the truth of residential schools is not just about survival โ it is about the children who never returned home and the intergenerational trauma that continues to take lives.
At Miss Crys Homecare, we serve seniors everyday who also carry their own stories of hardship, survival, and strength. We know how important compassion and dignity are in the healing journey.
Today, we honour all survivors, families, and communities still living with the impacts of residential schools.
This day is more than history โ it is lived experience.
It is grief, but also resilience.
It is remembrance, but also a hope that future generations will walk in truth and healing.
