Youth in Food Systems Market Leaders are getting ready to bring fresh, locally grown produce to communities across Waterloo Region!

Starting Wednesday, July 15, visit one of three Market locations, meet incredible youth leaders, and take home fresh produce using our Pay What You Choose model.

Laurel and Zelal facilitated a workshop for 30 participants from Seeds of Diversity, bringing together staff and high school volunteers to explore leadership, identity, power, privilege, environmental justice, community care, and self-care.

Together, they shared perspectives, discussed ways to advance environmental justice, and explored how caring for ourselves strengthens our ability to care for those around us.

The workshop was filled with thoughtful dialogue and curiosity. We are grateful to Seeds of Diversity for creating a space where staff and young leaders could come together to reflect, grow, and strengthen their commitment to building more inclusive, equitable, and resilient communities.
