Our team would like to express gratitude to all of the students, teachers, parents, donors, and school community that joined us this year as another academic year draws to a close. Whether you participated in a contest, explored our resources, attended a workshop, supported our work, or shared your love of mathematics with others, you were part of the equation.
We wish you a restful, joyful summer and look forward to learning together again in the new school year.
Stay tuned to see what we're working on this summer as we prepare new and updated resources, programs, and opportunities for the coming school year.

This May, the CEMC and the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences Ghana (AIMS) hosted the Helping Teachers Teach Mathematics Conference (HTTMC).
The HTTMC, held at the University of Ghana, provided support training and professional development in the mathematical sciences for high school teachers across Africa. The conference gives teachers the opportunity to deepen their understanding of key mathematical concepts in the high school curriculum, while also exploring practical and engaging ways to teach them.
Thank you to PAIR, the PanAfrican Initiative of Research for their support to the 2026 HTTMC.

Last week, the CEMC hosted the Canadian Computing Olympiad (CCO) and the Canadian Informatics Workshop (CIW). Top official CCC senior participants were invited from schools in Canada for a week-long learning experience to enhance their programming skills, attend expert-led lectures, participate in extracurricular activities and compete in a contest.
Congratulations to all the participants of the CCO and CIW and good luck to Team Canada competing at the IOI in Uzbekistan later this summer!
