💜 Two Waterloo Engineering professors, two prestigious IEEE Canada awards!
🎉 Congratulations to Dr. Alfred Yu and Dr. Xuemin (Sherman) Shen from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering!
🔬 Dr. Alfred Yu has been named the 2026 IEEE Canada Outstanding Engineer Award recipient for his transformative innovations in next-generation ultrasound imaging technology.
📡 Dr. Xuemin (Sherman) Shen has been selected as the 2026 IEEE Canada A.G.L. McNaughton Award recipient for a career-spanning body of work in wireless network security, vehicular communications, AI-enabled networks and the Internet of Things.
