As the situation with Coronavirus / Covid-19 progresses, and our understanding of the situation increases, it has become clear that the only responsible course of action for us is to temporarily cancel all classes at our Ahimsa studios, effective immediately.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

No amount of hand sanitizer can stem this tide.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
All experts seem to agree that social distancing (not being in close proximity to large numbers of people) is the single most effective way to slow the spread of Covid-19. This gives our healthcare infrastructure the greatest chance to handle this situation as it progresses without being completely overwhelmed, thereby saving lives that need not be lost.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is certainly one of the most difficult posts I have ever had to write. Ahimsa is my joy, my honour, my Dharma. It is our home. But the fact that I love it so much, and the community that makes it the beautiful place that it is, makes this decision crystal clear for me. If even one single person within our community develops symptoms of Covid-19, it means that many more have already been infected. And those infections will inevitably spread to other loved ones and strangers. We cannot wait until the situation gets worse. We must be proactive, rather than reactive. We must make the difficult choice, as soon as we know it is the right one. Even though it breaks my heart to do it. (I am actually in tears right now, writing this.)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
