June 15 – World Elder Abuse Awareness Day

Today, we’re reminded of the importance of standing up against injustice and protecting the dignity, well-being, and rights of seniors in our communities. πŸ’œ

At Community Care Durham, we are proud to stand alongside older adults, advocating for their safety, respect, and independence every day. From providing essential services to fostering connections and support networks, we are committed to creating a community where seniors feel valued, heard, and protected. Because what matters to them, matters to us.

Elder abuse has no place in our society. Let this day inspire us all to speak up, raise awareness, and ensure that every senior can live with the respect and care they deserve wherever they call home.

Together, we can make a difference.

πŸš— Transportation should NEVER be a barrier to getting the medical care you need!

With your support, our Assisted Transportation Service ensures individuals with mobility or other challenges can attend their medical appointments safely and stress-free with the help of a Personal Support Worker (PSW)! πŸ’™

This means caregivers don’t have to take time off work or time away from other important priorities, giving them peace of mind while their loved ones receive the care they need. 🌟

πŸ‘‰ Your donation helps keep this life-changing service available to those who need it most. https://www.communitycaredurham.on.ca/donate/form/
