If you told me three years ago I’d be who I am today, I wouldn’t have believed you.

The photo on the left is me at my first Miss Windsor pageant three years ago. I didn’t make top 15. The photo on the right is me two days ago: first runner-up, and dancing my first solo on stage since taking up salsa a year ago.

This is what consistency looks like over years and acting like the person you want to become from the start.

I entered this pageant to prepare myself for what’s next. To do something deliberately hard and vulnerable, in front of people, with high stakes. To grow into the version of myself the next chapter of my businesses and family needs me to be, and to accept her, as she is now, before she gets there.

In my final question on stage, I spoke about failure. I said I look forward to every failure, and I truly meant it. I wouldn’t be where I am today without them.

Three years ago, I didn’t have the businesses I run now. I didn’t have the team or the clients I’m so grateful for. I had unprocessed stress that turned into autoimmune issues. I’ve since reversed that: I’m healthier, more vibrant, and more myself than I’ve ever been.

I’m proud of how far I’ve come. This pageant closed that chapter for me, beautifully.

And the next chapter is already in motion. I’ve been quietly working on some big things behind the scenes in my real estate businesses - sharing soon. Stay tuned 🤍
