Ran the Boston Marathon this past weekend in under 3 hours!! ✅
That’s 4 of 6 now.
Feels pretty surreal to say given where my fitness was at a few years ago.
This one means a lot.
Spent a ton of time mentally preparing for this race, especially knowing what the Newton Hills can do to you. I felt ready for them, but that DEFINITELY doesn’t mean they were easy.
The weather was unreal, I stayed focused on the splits I had memorized, trusted the plan, and just tried to stay patient throughout.
Felt the effort in the hills, but never really lost confidence.
With a few miles left, I still had enough to push and finish strong with a 2:58.
VERY happy with how the day played out.
Grateful for all the support along the way, and always fun seeing so many Manitobans out there!
Marathons are hard.

Marathon running has done a lot of things to us. Obsessing over the weather forecast leading up to a race is one of them 😄
