When was the last time you took a minute to check in and reconnect with yourself?

What do you tune into? The rhythm of your breath?
The beating of your heart?

Playing music has always been an escape of sorts for me; moving the day-to-day thoughts to the side and FEELING the rhythm of the music resonate within my body. This type of experience helps me shed the stress of the day or the week I didn't realize was affecting my thoughts and interactions.

I love playing music, but not everyone has or takes the opportunity to do so. Sometimes we have talked ourselves out of picking up and instrument because we don't know how.

We all come to this world to the rhythm of our heartbeat. We just need to take the time to tune in - and sometimes to share that rhythm with others.

It's been a several years since I've had opportunity to work with a drum circle, but I'm looking forward to sharing space, time and drumming with you.

We will start the evening off with a meditation, to reset, and then work together to build a beat for the evening.

If you have your own drum, shakers, or sticks please feel free to bring them with.
We do have a few percussive instruments to share.
