This was a full gut renovation. We took it down to the studs/subfloor to re level the floor, and level the walls in anticipation for tile to be installed. The main cast iron plumbing stack and drains were replaced at the same time. Believe it or not, but cast iron plumbing from the 1960’s is probably in poor shape by now and will only cause future problems. In this case it was well worth it as the main stack and drains were clogged almost completely. Almost eroded in some areas as well!
Upgrades like this are functional and will ensure your renovation lasts generations to come.
