AUDITION CALL – LE RAGAZZE ITALIANE
Le Ragazze Italiane, a premier Italian-Canadian folk dance and performance troupe, is holding auditions for new dancers!
We are an internationally renowned ensemble dedicated to celebrating and preserving Italian heritage through high-calibre folk dance, live music, and song. Our performances captivate audiences locally, nationally, and internationally.
We are currently seeking dedicated, creative, and hard-working dancers to join our team.
Requirements:
Strong foundation in classical ballet and/or demi-character is essential
Passion for Italian culture and performing arts
Strong stage presence and a collaborative mindset
Ability to commit to regular rehearsals and performance schedules
Musicality, acting ability, or vocal experience is a strong asset

Our Story
Le Ragazze Italiane con ‘Niamo Raga have been together since 2007. These artists bring over 75 years of performance experience to the stage, sharing their love of Italian culture, music and dance with audiences far and wide. Le Ragazze have represented Italy at international folk festivals such as the Encuentro Internacional de Folklore in Concón, Chile, Folkmoot USA in Waynesville, North Carolina, Thunder Bay’s Festa Italiana and Kamloops’ Italian Festival. And of course, they regularly dance the night away during Winnipeg's Folklorama.
The very essence of Italian culture is embodied in their repertoire, which includes dance, music, and song from the northern Piemonte to the Island of Sicily. With a swish of a skirt, the shake of a tambourine and their seemingly endless energy, Le Ragazze will draw you into the passion that is Italy.
