The Extreme Heat Warning remains in effect, with hot temperatures continuing across Winnipeg. During periods of extreme heat, staying hydrated, seeking shade or air-conditioned spaces, and checking in on one another can make all the difference.

If you or someone you know is looking for cooling spaces, hydration stations, or other heat-related supports, End Homelessness Winnipeg's 2026 Extreme Weather Summer Response Guide is a great resource.

As temperatures continue to rise, so does the need for bottled water.

💙 Why hydration matters: Your body is made up of about 60% water, and losing as little as 2% of that water can make it harder to regulate body temperature, increasing the risk of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. During extreme heat, a bottle of water isn't just refreshing, it can be lifesaving.

Every day, Main Street Project's Outreach Team is on the streets connecting with people experiencing homelessness and housing instability. During extreme heat, our team hands out hundreds of bottles of water to help people stay hydrated and reduce the risk of heat-related illness.

You can help keep our community hydrated.
