Our internship program runs for a period of 3, 6 or 9 months or 1-year and are full-time and part-time positions. Starting and ending dates are flexible. These are all unpaid positions and unless stated otherwise are based in Basel.
Operations Intern:
Interns will be expected to provide administrative and coordination support and oversee the smooth functioning of operations in the main office in Basel.

Qualifications:

Should have any undergraduate degree in any discipline with proven leadership experience and strong organizational skills. German language is essential. Working knowledge in English desirable.

Development Intern:

Interns will be expected to provide administrative and grant research support and will have the opportunity to learn about non-profit fundraising, grant applications, and direct mail programs. Your duties would include: assisting with direct mail, data entry, grant research, grant-writing, and fundraising.

Qualifications:

Should have an interest in fundraising and non-profit management; prior experience with fundraising at any level is desirable, but not required; familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel required. Fluency in German or English is required.

Media and Communications Intern:

Interns will be expected to provide administrative and editorial support, assist in layout and design of promotional material for awareness campaign, as well as to provide assistance in website maintenance as needed.

Qualifications:
An undergraduate/graduate degree in any discipline with impeccable writing/presentation skills. Journalism, English, Marketing preferred though not required.

Translation Intern:
Interns are expected to provide translation support from English to German or vice-versa. Documents to be translated include letters, promotional materials, newsletters and project plans. Interns may work remotely from present location.

Qualifications:
Candidates should be fluent in German and English, good attention to detail, and be able to work independently as well as a keen interest in translation.
