Endless Project Sound

- For this first part of the game, I immediately perceived a strong theme of self-discovery.
The protagonist has just “hatched” into the world and still doesn’t know what he truly is — and this evolving sense of identity shaped my entire musical direction.

I opted for an introspective and dreamlike atmosphere, starting with light, evolving pads with slow modulation and a wide spectral movement to evoke a feeling of birth, openness, and an inner awareness gradually taking form.
To reflect the contrast between the character’s innocence and the mechanical world surrounding him, I blended these softer textures with electronic elements.

My intention was to merge organic and artificial, mirroring one of the central visual and narrative dualities of the game.

I imagined the music as something constantly present and adaptive, evolving together with the character:
• it changes depending on the situation, starting with an ambient character to represent birth and discovery;
• when enemies appear, it becomes denser, with sharper transients and more pronounced textures;
• I would also love the music to evolve each time the character gains a new skill, adding a dedicated sonic element as a growing “signature” of his progression;
• when the character dies, the music can take on a different note, a subtle variation in color or structure to highlight the sense of loss without breaking emotional continuity.

When the character enters the tree-cave area (around 0:35), I shifted the timbral palette by introducing textures inspired by wood resonances and subtle creaks, to reflect a new, more enclosed and slightly more dangerous environment.
Here I added a main lead to clearly mark the transition and suggest a change both in the area and in the character’s emotional state.
