Just back from intensive days in working with local and international in one the most beautiful locations of Kyrgryzstan…

Invited by the , I had the honour to faciliate conflict analysis process which implied updating and revising the systems conflict analysis on Kyrgyzstan and doing sub-systemic analysis of conflict dynamics in Central Asia.

All these pieces of work will inform the upcoming and inspiring activities in and in September 2024 (see for more information on this year’s off- and online programme and for the report of last year’s event see http://yntymakweek.org/ ), which the Peacebuilding Hub is also hosting and organizing this year in honour of the International Day of Peace .

The is a vibrant, informal network of Acted, International Alert , PeaceNexus Foundation in Central Asia, Saferworld, Search for Common Ground Kyrgyzstan , Office of the UN Resident Coordinator Kyrgyz Republic, UN Women Kyrgyzstan Country Office, working in Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia.

Many important lessons and observations on running highly process in a short time with a very tight budget. (Dancing (in the dark) after long evening sessions helped, at least me…:) I am convinced more than ever that bringing the right people together can produce small miracles, even more so if the location radiates as much beauty and positive vibes as the Issyk-Kul lake.

Ready to Join Our Community of Practice?

🌀 Eva Dalak and me are happy to announce the evolution of our Peace Activation Retreat into a comprehensive journey of , , and .

🌀 While we have seen significant interest from , , and other parts of the world, some colleagues have expressed concerns about not feeling prepared for the current in-person intensive process. Additionally, financial constraints have been a barrier for certain participants in terms of travel and full engagement.

🌀 As a result, we have reconceptualized the retreat as a component of a broader, phased approach—a of that ultimately leads to our peace activation retreat.

In concrete details this means:

🗓 Monthly Online Sessions
🌀 Starting 25th June 2024, we'll meet via Zoom from 3-6 p.m. These sessions will help us dive deeper, build , share and as well as develop our community of practice.

🏞 In-Person Retreat in Greece
🌀 Mark your calendars for 6th-9th December 2024. This retreat will be a culmination of our journey, where we'll share our learnings and decide on future steps together.

🧠 Trauma-Sensitive and -Informed Sessions & Learnings :
🌀 Learn about and : what it is, how to explain it, and why it matters. We will delve into these topics through input sessions and plenary discussions, supplemented with biography work.

🤝 Buddy System:
🌀 In our first session, we'll form buddy teams to meet between sessions. These teams will deepen our connections, build mutual , and somatic exercises and tools.

💬 Peer-to-Peer & Collaborative Learning:
🌀 We will engage in discussions and share experiences in a space. This approach will enhance our l and .

🌱 Supportive Environment:
🌀 Experience a and space to expand your support network and connect with others. This environment is designed to help you feel supported throughout your journey.

🌀 Funding Options:
There are various options, including monthly payment:
- Standard Rate: €990 (monthly payments of €165 available)
- Sponsor Rate: €1500 (supports a colleague’s participation, monthly payments of €250 available)
- Solidarity Rate: €650 (for those with less money but eager to join, monthly payments of €109 available)
