To***co industry interference takes many forms. Some of these include:
• maneuvering to hijack the political and legislative process
• exaggerating the economic importance of the industry
• manipulating public opinion to gain the appearance of respectability
• fabricating support through front groups
• discrediting proven science
• intimidating governments with litigation or the threat of litigation

To***co free farming in Kenya. 30/11/2022

Achieng Obare describes how her life changed for the better after she switched from farming to***co to beans. She is one of hundreds of farmers in Kenya's southwestern Migori county who is transitioning away from farming to***co to a healthier alternative, with support from the World Health Organization, the World Food Programme, and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN.

Planting high iron beans instead means that farmers are not exposed to the negative impacts of to***co. With the switch, the health and livelihoods of these farmers are improving, children who previously worked on the farms are in school, the crops are better for the environment, and there is another source of food.
