In case you know any boys between 11 and 17 (and parents!) who like adventure, Scouts BSA Troop 130 might just be the activity for them!
Our troop is one of the largest troops in the area and offers numerous scouting activities.
Scouts learn important life skills while creating lasting friendships and developing a love for the outdoors.
Adventures include camping in wild places, hiking, snow shoeing and rafting, whilst various service projects benefit the local community.
We meet every other Monday during the school year at La Châtaigneraie in Founex and have outings one weekend per month.
During this period of coronavirus restrictions our resourceful scouts continue to work on many skills and meaningful projects independently at home or in groups online.
Our troop is led by the boys, supported by parents, and a parent of every scout takes an active role. Both scouts and parents benefit from our vibrant, active scouting community.
There are many opportunities for adults to get involved. Share a skill (or learn a new one) by teaching a merit badge. Help plan an activity to your favorite outdoor space or charity. Or give a little bit of your time to the committee to keep the troop running. Most parents agree that the time they give to the troop is returned tenfold when you see a scout accomplish a goal or come back from a campout exhausted but full of new confidence.
