Brilliant evening at yesterday’s Swiss premiere of “Color Of Heaven.”
Early this year I took an acting course in Madrid with the film’s star, Marta Etura. She had recently finished the shoot of this film in Switzerland with director Joan-Marc Zapata on Lake Luzern and IN Luzern, so we had a good start.
When I learned about the Swiss premiere, I connected with Swiss producer Ivan Geisser… and last night hung with him, Joan-Marc, Spanish producer Guillem Luna and actress Paulina de Matteis.
Powerful screenplay, great cinematography and, needless to say, extraordinary acting.

My dear friend, , launched her book last night in Madrid and, lucky me, I was in town to join the celebration.
Jackie and I were friends 30+ years ago in Barcelona, then lost touch, only to bump into each other via social media and InterNations events in Madrid.
What a career! Creative director in a Paris ad agency, film student and professional in the U.S., several screenplays and produced two short films, and now releasing her first novel, “Un Océano de Silencio.”
We two extroverts always have SO much to talk about when we get together, and at the end of her awesome event last night, we had more than a few laughs.
I started reading this international adventure on the flight back to Switzerland today and, I’m really loving it.
Congrats, Jackie. Enhorabuena. Felicitats!
Un beso enorme, amiga 🌹

Cheap Tricks With The Audience :(
What a great premise and what a thrilling Act 1 and Act 2… to be completely ruined by waiting until the middle of Act 3 to introduce hints of the backstory.
That’s usually a sign of lazy writing, but in the case of “Don’t Worry Darling” (with or without the comma), new screenwriters were reportedly assigned once pre-production was in progress.
This could’ve even been “fixed in post,” in my humble view, by editing some of the backstory into Act 2 instead of so late in Act 3. As it was, it’s an insult to the audience to slap them with, “Of course you didn’t figure this out. We gave you no clues.”
It’s a shame because this could’ve been THE film to drive the gender conversation to a new level.
To throw this kind of money at something that falls flat in the climax maddens me. I left the cinema shaking my head.
My cynical suggestion to moviegoers: Stay home and wait until it goes online.
My profound question to Hollywood: With or without the comma?
