I love eating fish and seafood, but I often eat them at the restaurant and very rarely prepare them at home. Today I found these beautiful mussels at the market and decided to make sauteed mussels with saffron broth. A simple dish, but full of flavor. You have to take your time to carefully clean the mussels, but once done they’re ready in minutes. I then added a lot of toasted bread an paired them with Diez Siglos de Rueda made with Rueda’s main grape, Verdejo.
