GCOD’s musical journey began at the age of 16 when he started creating his own hip hop beats. As his sense for a new genre evolved, the young Swiss producer soon replaced slower, funky sequences for upbeat minimal rhythm and analog sounds of the electronic underground, while never losing his flair for powerful grooves.

It’s the effortless molding of straightforward beats and distinctive tones that captivates the ear, or, as the artist himself puts it: “simple is best, and don’t overthink it”. And this slogan certainly hits home. GCOD already released on a few upcoming labels as well as his own, ZIMA. Together with his 2 partners from Zurich, he built a community where he feels at home, giving him the perfect surrounding to refine and enhance his production skills. This artist’s journey has only just begun!
