No último dia 5 de janeiro um dos membros da nossa equipe publicou um artigo científico na área de Bioinformática na revista científica PLOS One.

O artigo descreve um novo método para a predição de ilhas genômicas, regiões no genoma que foram adquiridas de outros organismos por transferência horizontal, e que podem estar associadas ao ganho de novas funções importantes no organismo, como por exemplo o aumento da patogenicidade ou a resistência a dr**as em bactérias.

Hey guys! Last August 8th we were in Recife - PE, Brazil participating at the Health 2.0 Recife. It was the first edition of this event in Recife and motivated more than 80 people that shared new ideas about the opportunities of health and technology in the region northeast of Brazil.
