2025 HIMS BUEA MATRICULATION CEREMONY
Saturday 6th of December 2025 marked the official and solemn start of the 2025/2026 academic year for 220 fresh men and women at HIMS, Buea as they took the matriculation oath in a ceremony presided over by the Rector of the Institution, the most venerable Professor Cornelius M. Lambi. The rector warmly welcomed the “freshers” in a speech rich in wisdom and fatherly advice.
The matriculation oath was administered by the Rector of HIMS, Dr Forbe Hodu.
The close to 4 hours event also saw the intervention of all heads of department who elaborated on what each department entailed and the opportunities that the students would have after school.
Worthy of note is the fact that this occasion came after seven weeks of lectures for the first semester of the academic year already marked by intensive classes, practicals and even quizzes in which the “freshers” experienced, first-hand, the expertise of their lecturers and professors, and the equipment at their disposal to ensure the professional training that is the hallmark of HIMS.

HIMS Buea convocation 2025
The 2025 HIMS Buea convocation ceremony will take place on the school’s campus at Mayor Street, Molyko-Buea, on Saturday the 13th of December 2025.
The ceremony, which is expected to be presided over by the Vice Chancellor of the University of Bamenda, UBa, HIMS’ mentoring State University, shall see the graduation of the 17th batch of HND students, 11th batch of B.Tech students, 2nd batch of BBA students and the 7th batch of MBA students.

2025 Masters of Business Administration Defence

After four semesters of effective and efficient classroom studies, internship and extensive research, 41 scholars from different departments of the HIMS Business School defended, with brio, their thesis like the executives that they have been trained to become.

This exercise which ran from Friday the 28th to Sunday, the 30th of November, in front of a mixed panel of HIMS professors and others from the mentor University - the University of Bamenda, was geared towards identifying society's problems in different fields of study and recommending feasible and realistic solutions towards solving them. It ended in a grand style as the scholars were able to show a mastery of their research work and responded with facts, diagrams and accurate data collected from the field and treated properly as they were guided by their various supervisors.

Congratulations to all the scholars of the 6th batch of Masters of Business Administration (MBA).

The president of HIMS Buea, Dr. BTB Fomba, on behalf of the entire HIMS community, extends heartfelt condolences to the entire Nigerian Community in the North West and South West Regions, the family of the diseased, and the Nigerian students at HIMS Buea, on the sad event of the death of HE Ambassador Taofic Obasanjo Coker, Consul General of Nigeria to the North West and South West Regions.
