In commemoration of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, the Community Centre for Integrated Development (CCID), in collaboration with the Delegation of Women’s Empowerment and the Family and other civil society organizations, organized a peaceful match pass in Buea.

The initiative aimed to raise awareness and educate the public on sexual harassment and gender-based violence, issues that continue to affect communities across Buea and Cameroon at large.

The match pass commenced from UB Junction and proceeded to Check Point, Molyko Stadium, engaging community members and amplifying the call for action against all forms of violence.

Together, we stand to break the silence, challenge harmful norms, and promote safer communities for all.

Silence is not a green light. Consent isn't about the absence of a "no" it's about the presence of an enthusiastic, clear "YES." Let's shift the conversation from what wasn't said to what was.
