If you’re registering an SARL — the most common company structure in Cameroon — and your capital is more than one million CFA francs, the law requires you to deposit it before registration.

This deposit is made into a blocked bank account opened in the name of your company under formation.
Once done, the bank issues a capital deposit certificate, which confirms that your business is financially ready to operate.

The notary then uses this certificate to authenticate your company documents and complete the registration process.
However, if your capital is less than one million CFA francs, no upfront deposit is required.

You simply declare that the funds will be paid later, after registration.
