On Dec. 8th 2015, China's first online medical center opened up in Wu zhen, Zhe Jiang. Wu zhen online medical center is initiated by the government, and operated by We Doctor Group. Doctors will practice medicine through electronic prescription, online interview and distance pharmacy.

Chinese Medical Doctor Association recently announced the plan of creating a data pool, which would allow access to all the Chinese registered doctors' and patients' information.
The data pool is intended to help match the doctors and the patients, and to abridge the information inequality.

According to national health and family planning commission of China, in 2012, there are 220milion children and every thousand children only have 0.43 pediatrician. Comparing with USA’s 1.46, China is now suffering from the insufficiency of pediatrician. Moreover the number of pediatricians in China is declining over time: in 2010, pediatrician accounts for 4.8% of total number of doctors, while in 2014, it decreased to 3.9%. Analyst states that the vacancy of pediatrician now is around 100thousand. With the end of one-child policy, the insufficiency of pediatrician will be more severe.
