This week in Addis Ababa, Solar Run Energy joined innovators and changemakers at the Pre-Africa Climate Summit Water and Energy Exhibition, proudly invited by Ethiopia’s Ministry of Water and Energy.
At our booth, we shared more than just products — we shared solutions that speak directly to the needs of Ethiopian families and communities:
💡 A simple 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗽/𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 can mean children studying after dark or a family no longer relying on kerosene.
🚜 Our 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲-𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 like solar direct-drive freezers and solar water pumps help small businesses and farmers grow incomes and resilience.
🔋 And with 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸-𝘂𝗽 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀, we offer stability in places where the grid can’t always be counted on.
One of the highlights was showcasing our 145kW solar-powered irrigation project in Hawassa, Sidama — the first China–Ethiopia–UNDP trilateral project. Seeing it recognized and praised by 𝗛.𝗘 𝗗𝗿. 𝗜𝗻𝗴. 𝗦𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗻, State Minister of Energy Development, reminded us why we do what we do: to deliver clean energy that truly transforms lives.
For us, this exhibition wasn’t just about technology — it was about listening, connecting, and reaffirming our commitment to accelerating clean energy access for Ethiopia and for Africa.
Because every light switched on, every pump powered, and every freezer cooling food means another step toward a brighter, more sustainable future. 🌍✨
