That’s exactly what the IDEAcorps MBA Consulting Challenge is built around. MBA teams from schools across the country, including programs like Loyola University New Orleans, Tulane University, Louisiana State University, and other participating universities, spend several weeks working directly with early-stage companies to develop practical scale-up strategies.

Participants will:
• Work directly with founders on real growth challenges
• Apply consulting frameworks to real business problems
• Explore innovation hubs across New Orleans
• Present their strategies during New Orleans Entrepreneur Week

The program culminates in a final pitch competition where teams compete for a $5,000 Grand Prize, with two runner-up teams receiving $1,500 each.
It’s a great example of experiential learning done right, where strategy, entrepreneurship, and ex*****on meet in the real world.

The IDEAcorps MBA Consulting Challenge, presented by Dr. Bobby and Lori Kent Savoie, brings together MBA teams from across the country to work directly with real businesses and develop scalable growth strategies.

Over the course of several weeks, teams partner with early-stage and small businesses to:
• Analyze their current business model
• Identify growth opportunities
• Build a practical SCALE-UP strategy

The program culminates during New Orleans Entrepreneur Week (NOEW), where teams will present their strategies in a final pitch competition. What makes IDEAcorps special is that it isn’t a classroom exercise; teams work with real founders, real challenges, and real stakes.
