Posture and movement in children with cerebral palsy are not only about muscles and strength.
The body works as a connected system, where stability, fascia, organization, and internal support affect the quality of every movement.
In BDA therapy, we look at the body as a whole, because movement quality does not depend on just one part of the body, but on how the entire system is connected, organized, and supported from within.
When the body gets better conditions for stability and organization, movement can become more functional, more stable, and easier for everyday life.

Fascia is connective tissue that supports and connects the entire body. When it is healthy and mobile, the body moves more easily, with better stability and function.
In many children with cerebral palsy, genetic conditions, and developmental difficulties, fascia can become tight, rigid, and “stuck” over time.
As a result, movement requires much more effort.
The body begins to create compensations, which can lead to tension, limited mobility, and difficulty using the body efficiently.
The Fascia Vibe technique uses targeted vibration stimulation to support natural gliding between fascial layers, improve circulation, and stimulate tissue regeneration.
The goal of therapy is not only for movement to exist, but for the body to move with better quality, less effort, and improved function.
With regular use, it may help with:
• reducing tension
• improving mobility
• supporting better tissue function
• making movement easier and more natural
• improving body awareness and stability
After several sessions, some parents notice softer movements, easier body activation, and less resistance during movement and therapy work.

When the body does not have enough stability, control, or a clear sense of movement, it does not stop working. It finds another way. That is how compensation happens.
Movement still happens, but with more effort, lower quality, and by using body parts that are not meant for that movement.
At first, it may look like the child can do it, but the body is working more than it should.
That is why in therapy we do not just fix the movement. We look for the reason why the body had to find another way.
When the body conditions improve, compensation is no longer needed. Movement becomes easier, more stable, and more functional.
