The 2026 yoga retreat season has officially started! We had an amazing week together in Spain. We went from swimming suits to coats, back to swimming suits and again back to coats - sometimes all in the same day. 😂🤯
But still the weather didn't stop us from exploring this amazing region - we visited no less than five (!) charming villages, went on a hike, had a beach day, a massage day, a hot tub day, a party night, and a pub quiz night. As the name of the retreat suggests, we explored our inner landscapes as well - we did yoga and meditated every day.
It was a great week to reconnect with some old firends, meet new ones, share happy and sad stories, laugh, practice and hopefully get a little reset that everyone needs from time to time. 🙏🙏🙏
Thanks to all my amazing guests who decided to come on this adventure with me. Till we meet again! 🤗🙏🧘🏻♀️🥰
But hey — maybe it’s your body reminding you it’s time to come back 🧘♀️
Sometimes all you need is the right place, the right energy, and a little guidance… and that’s exactly what My Yogic Adventure retreats are for ✨

If you’ve been walking this path of yoga for some time, you have for sure encountered people who put insane expectations on you, especially as a yoga teacher, but I guess also as “just” a practitioner.
Probably you also put some big expectations on yourself, what you should and shouldn’t do as a “good yogi”. Whatever any of these two words mean.
Once, a friend asked me something about Kundalini awakening and I said I could answer only with the information I read from books, not with the knowledge that came from my own experience. He was appalled.
He asked me if I wasn’t ashamed to stand in front of people and pretend to teach them “yoga” without having had the experience of Kundalini awakening. True story, I swear.
Another time a random person criticized my messiness wondering how I can be so messy as a yoga teacher.
I don’t even want to recount the numberless occasions somebody gave me a look “oh, you’re the teacher?” letting their eyes linger a moment longer on my body. Occasionally even verbalizing the reasoning behind their shock.
Without going into the philosophy of why solidifying any concept, including that of a “yogi,” goes against some of the main teachings, I want to start a list of things you don’t need to justify or explain to anyone as a yoga teacher/practitioner because they don’t make you any less of a yogi, they just make you a human.
Add your examples in the comments.
You don’t need to justify if:
* you don’t find time, energy, or motivation to practice every day
* you experience a full array of human emotions, including anger, sadness, loneliness, desperation, etc.
* you go through the highs and lows of life
* you mess up
* you don’t always choose what is the best and healthiest for your body and mind
* you aren’t strong or flexible enough to do the challenging poses
* you have a body that Lulu Lemon wouldn’t hire to be their model
* you have or don’t have Lulu Lemons ;)
* sometimes you feel you hate yoga/meditation
