MOHAMED SAID MAALEM CAPTURES LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT CROWN FROM ERKO JUN
June 6, 2026 - Ljubljana, Slovenia: BRAVE Combat Federation™ (BRAVE CF), the world’s fastest-growing and most global mixed martial arts organization, made its highly anticipated return to Slovenia for the seventh time on Saturday, August 6, staging BRAVE CF 106 in partnership with World Freefight Challenge at the iconic Hala Tivoli in Ljubljana.
The premium live event featured a stacked card highlighted by two BRAVE CF World Championship bouts, delivering another memorable night of elite MMA action for fans in attendance and viewers worldwide.
In the co-main event of the evening, Mohamed “L'Ambiance” Said Maalem achieved a career-defining milestone, dethroning Erko “The Bounty Hunter” Jun to capture the BRAVE CF Light Heavyweight World Championship in their highly anticipated rematch.
The Swiss-Algerian powerhouse was tested early as Jun came out aggressively, connecting with punishing leg kicks and spinning strikes to the body. Despite the early onslaught, Said Maalem remained composed and gradually shifted the momentum as the fight progressed.
By the third round, Said Maalem began to impose his wrestling, using timely takedowns and top control to disrupt Jun’s rhythm. The defending World Champion’s output started to slow down as the rounds wore on, while “L'Ambiance” continued to pressure and wear him down.
The breakthrough came in the fourth round when Said Maalem rocked an increasingly fatigued Jun before following him to the canvas. From the top position, he unleashed heavy ground-and-pound to end matters and claim the coveted World Title.

JOHNNY EBLEN VS. IMPA KASANGANAY FOR INTERIM MIDDLEWEIGHT TITLE HEADLINES PFL AUSTIN
NEW YORK (June 4, 2026) – The Professional Fighters League (PFL) today announced that former Bellator Middleweight Champion Johnny “Pressure” Eblen (17-1) and 2023 PFL Light Heavyweight Tournament Champion Impa “Tshilobo” Kasanganay (20-6) will compete for the Interim PFL Middleweight World Championship at PFL Austin on Saturday, July 18 at Moody Center in Austin, Texas.
The bout marks the first interim world title fight in PFL history after an injury forced reigning PFL Middleweight World Champion Costello van Steenis to withdraw from his title defense against Eblen. Eblen will now face Kasanganay in a rematch of their meeting at the historic PFL Champions vs. Bellator Champions event, where Eblen earned a split decision victory.
Also on the card, two of PFL’s best bantamweights battle with potential title implications at stake, as former Bellator Champion Sergio Pettis (25-8) meets 2024 PFL Europe Bantamweight Champion Lewis McGrillen (12-1). Pettis has won two of his last three bouts, while McGrillen enters on a four-fight winning streak and owns a 92% finishing rate.
Two preliminary bouts have also been added to the card. At lightweight, Mexico’s Sergio Cossio (27-12-1) faces American Kolton Englund (15-5) and at women’s flyweight, Andrea Vazquez of Mexico (8-3) takes on Russian Aleksandra Savicheva (7-2).

BRAVE CF 106 HEATS UP AS FORSTER AND TUTIĆ PREPARE FOR SECOND WAR IN LJUBLJANA
The spotlight at BRAVE CF 106 on Saturday, June 6, may be fixed on the World Title clashes atop the bill, but an explosive undercard rematch threatens to eclipse everything around it.
Hometown favorite David Forster and Bosnia’s Amil Tutić are poised to collide once more in a 77.5-kilogram catchweight showdown at Hala Tivoli in Ljubljana, Slovenia, where unresolved bitterness continues to simmer.
Their first meeting at BRAVE CF 102 in November 2025 already left scars that neither man appears willing to forget.
Now, nearly a year later, the rivalry has been granted a second chapter. Yet even before the opening bell, restraint appears absent.
Forster has openly criticized Tutić’s approach in their first encounter, accusing the Bosnian of bending the rules and turning the bout into chaos rather than competition.
On the other side, Tutić remains convinced that the outcome never reflected the true flow of their battle. He insists his pressure and activity dictated the pace, especially on foreign ground.
The Bosnian standout is equally adamant that history will not repeat itself, warning that the rematch leaves no space for debate or disputed verdicts.
Meanwhile, Forster remains confident that the grudge match at BRAVE CF 106 will end far differently from the first.
