Through the State Partnership Program, medical professionals from the New Hampshire National Guard (NHNG) recently joined forces with the Cabo Verdean National Guard and local health leaders in Santiago for a dynamic aeromedical knowledge exchange!

Given Cabo Verde's unique, geographically dispersed islands, rapid and efficient en-route patient care is absolutely critical. This wasn’t just a classroom discussion—our partners participated in a hands-on C-12 aircraft engagement to practically work through triage, prolonged field care, and patient movement planning.

NHNG Air and Army medical personnel brought insights from both flight care and austere field care, while learning invaluable lessons from Cabo Verde's expertise in navigating smaller-aircraft platforms and maximizing efficiency with available resources.

As Chargé d’Affaires Mark Weinberg noted, engagements like this reinforce the deep, long-term trust that underpins cooperation between the United States and our strategically vital Atlantic partner nation.

Yellowstone National Park is in the northwest-central United States, primarily in Wyoming. It's known for its geysers, which are rare hot springs that erupt and shoot superheated water and steam into the air. There are approximately 1,000 geysers worldwide, and about half of them are in Yellowstone. In addition, Yellowstone is famous for its diverse wildlife, including grizzly bears and bison. 🐻🦬

𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 American Space Mindelo

The American Space Mindelo in the island of Sao Vicente recently concluded a successful four-day English Week at the University of Cabo Verde. The event brought together 55 participants to practice English through interactive and culturally immersive activities.

The program featured four distinct themes:
• English is Fun
• American Heroes
• Hollywood
• Famous People

Students engaged in music sessions, educational games, role-playing, and karaoke. These activities were designed to build confidence and encourage active communication in real-life contexts.

Congratulations to our coordinators for organizing this great event and the participants who demonstrated great progress in their language skills throughout the week.
