And within the International “ImPRESSion Photo Festival 2014” Vestnik Kipra is accepting the applications to participate in the photo Workshop
Photojournalism - Documentary Photography with Achilleas Zavallis

The workshop aims to help participants improve their imagery
and strengthen their personal visual language.

It will be divided in 2 parts:

1st part: a discussion about the challenges faced by photojournalists
in a changing media landscape and ways one can use to tell the story.

During the first part Achilleas will show part of his work from Greece
and Syria along with examples of work by other photographers working
on long-term stories around the world.

We will be discussing how the ever changing media landscape has affected and changed the work of photojournalists and how they adapted
to the new - digital - media landscape.

2nd part: portfolio reviews of the participants and discussion
with Achilleas about their work in order to find ways to strengthen
their visual voice and continue their projects.

Each participant should bring along an edited selection of 20 to 30 images from a project or story they are working on.
We will use this selection to discuss about what they want
to accomplish and how they can go about doing it.

About the teacher:

Achilleas Zavallis is a freelance photojournalist.
During the last ten years he has been covering stories in Greece,
the Balkans and the Middle East.

His work has been published in a variety of international publications
and he is a contributor to Agence France Presse.

Cost of the Workshop: 80 €. You can pay by Web Money, Pay Pal, cash.
