Limassol is officially ranked the leader in residential real estate prices , on the basis of statistics sourced from the Land Registry.

Presenting data from the Land Registry within the framework of the 12th Building and Development Conference, RICS Chairman, Thomas Dimopoulos, noted that property prices in Limassol are clearly considerably higher than those of other cities.

As can be seen, between 2011 and 2017, sales prices of both apartments and homes in Limassol were almost double that of other Cypriot cities.

Based on the data, from 2015 to 2017, average property prices in Limassol were over € 250 thousand, as opposed to Paphos, the second city in the ranking, whose prices revolved around around € 150 thousand. Slightly lower in Famagusta and Nicosia, while on the basis of the data, the cheapest properties are located in Larnaca with an average well below € 150 thousand.

Another interesting fact deriving from the Land Registry's data is the fact that about eight out of ten residential properties sold between 2011 and 2017 were apartments. In particular, 82% of residential real estate sales of this five-year period concerned apartments, compared with only 18% of house sales.
