The Larnaca Half Marathon coincides with my birthday... What better way to celebrate the last of my thirties than to challenge myself and run ten months after giving birth to baby Number 2. Since I've already got everything I want, need, and can handle, I thought this birthday should be about giving back.

I'm running​ in the hopes of raising funds for the charity Medical Aid for Palestinians. The charity is a non-religious, non-political entity, that aims to provide medical care, including mental health and psychological support for Palestinians. ​You can donate anonymously, any amount that you're comfortable with. You can also leave a message, which I do appreciate tremendously.

I'm lucky to have Kay and George who have supported me in immeasurable ways, from allowing me to bring my little one to training, to accepting spam texts with my running stats. They reminded me throughout that it was possible, and they recognised when to push and when to pull back a litte. I'll take a moment to say again how grateful I am​ to them for everything. The "gains" were so much more than physical.
