In 1912, in the American town of Wichita Falls, engineer MacMahon conceived of building a skyscraper that was grandiose for those times. According to the project, its height was to be as much as 146 meters. However, the lawyers who drew up the agreement for the investors mistakenly indicated the height of the building in inches. As a result, the 12-meter skyscraper received the title of the shortest in the world.
