Ακόμη ένα εργαστήρι STEAM που στέφθηκε με μεγάλη επιτυχία!

Στις 6 Ιουλίου, η ομάδα μας είχε τη χαρά να βρεθεί σε ακόμη ένα Θερινό Σχολείο, αυτή την φορά στο Παιδικό Στέκι Ανάπτυξης που διοργανώνεται από το ΣΚΕ Ιδαλίου.

Οι μικροί μας ερευνητές βούτηξαν στον κόσμο του διαστήματος μέσω της ενότητας «STEAM & Διάστημα: Ανακαλύπτοντας τις Φάσεις της Σελήνης»! Ακολουθώντας το πρότυπο μάθησης με διερώτηση τα παιδιά δούλεψαν σε ομάδες, με στόχο να αναπτύξουν ένα μοντέλο που να εξηγεί τις φάσεις της Σελήνης!

Ευχαριστούμε θερμά το Παιδικό Στέκι Ανάπτυξης για αυτή την υπέροχη συνεργασία. Μείνετε συντονισμένοι, διότι θα έχουμε κι άλλες δράσεις Ιούλιο και Αύγουστο!

Welcome to our team, Andreas! 🎉

We are happy to welcome also Andreas as our new EU Project Manager! His arrival brings a fantastic new perspective and energy to our team dynamic.

Andreas holds a PhD in Social and Political Psychology, an MSc in Group Processes and Intergroup Relations, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. His research interests centre on analysing societal issues within intergroup conflict settings. His deep expertise in psychology and EU projects make him an incredible asset to our multidisciplinary team!

What an inspiring celebration of creativity, science and the arts!

On 5 June, we had the pleasure of collaborating with PASCAL Primary School Lefkosia in Nicosia for the second local festival of the STEAM Innovation project, co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme. Students presented an impressive range of innovative projects, demonstrating how science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics can come together to tackle real-world ideas through creativity, inquiry and teamwork.

The quality of the projects made the evaluation process particularly challenging. We would like to warmly congratulate all participating teams for their enthusiasm, originality and outstanding presentations.

A special thank you goes to our judges, Professor Costas Constantinou, Professor of Science Education at the University of Cyprus, and Iakovos Loukas Music Teacher, for generously dedicating their time, expertise and valuable feedback to the students. Their insights made the experience even more meaningful for everyone involved.

Congratulations also to the team “Volcanic Eruption: A Physical and Musical Performance of Geological Power” who will represent Cyprus at the International STEAM Innovation Festival in Matera, Italy, this September. We wish them every success as they prepare for this exciting international experience.

We are proud of every student who participated and look forward to seeing even more inspiring ideas in the future!
