🧠 During Brain Awareness Week, it is a good opportunity to reflect on how much information about the brain is hidden in something we use every day: speech.
💚 At Scicake, we are currently working on
🗣️ Fonafix 💙, a technology that uses advanced speech analysis to provide a unique window into brain function. Subtle changes in speech can reflect neurological processes that are otherwise difficult to capture, opening new possibilities for more objective and accessible diagnostics.
👉 At the same time, our goal is not only to support clinicians but also to empower patients. By developing digital tools for speech assessment and therapy, we aim to help people with speech disorders actively work on their rehabilitation and monitor their progress.
🎓 This work builds on state-of-the-art research in digital vocal biomarkers, conducted at the Brain Diseases Analysis Laboratory (Brno University of Technology), and reflects our broader mission: turning speech into a meaningful source of information about brain health.

The beginning of 2025 was not easy for us.
It was demanding, intense, and full of challenges.
That is exactly why we appreciate even more that we are closing the year with very strong results.
A year in which ideas were transformed into concrete solutions, and honest, hard work truly paid off.
One of the key projects of 2025 for us was Fonafix – a system for the diagnostics and therapy of speech disorders, developed in close collaboration with clinical practice.
Fonafix proves that technology only truly matters when it makes a real difference in people’s lives.
We would like to thank everyone who trusts Fonafix, uses it in practice, and provides us with valuable feedback.
Special thanks also go to the professional community and our partners for open and constructive dialogue.
