Some children build castles from blocks — scientists build new materials from structures so small they're invisible to the naked eye. For Children's Day, we are looking at a tiny nano-construction set: a metal-organic framework, a porous material studied for applications such as gas storage, separation, catalysis, and environmental technologies.

The image reveals well-defined, cube-like particles with distinct size and contrast differences, making the nanoscale structure easy to observe and compare. LVEM 25E combines naturally high contrast with compact, user-friendly operation, supporting multiple imaging and analytical modes in one system.

For Mother's Day, we are looking at one of nature's quiet acts of care: protection wrapped in layers. With a little imagination, this brain section even reminds us of a gentle female face, framed by the delicate contours of myelin.

Captured on the LVEM 25E in STEM 15 mode at 15 keV, this micrograph shows a section of brain tissue where individual fibers and lamellae of the myelin sheaths can be clearly observed. These layers play an essential role in insulating nerve fibers and supporting efficient signal transmission in the nervous system.

Tomorrow we celebrate World Quantum Day, and quantum dots are a brilliant example of how nanoscience shapes everyday technology. Their size-tunable optical properties make them especially valuable in displays, LEDs, photovoltaics, and biomedical imaging, where bright, stable emission is a major advantage.

This micrograph was captured with the LVEM5 in TEM mode. As the smallest transmission electron microscope in the world, it is particularly well suited to particle-size samples, making it easy to reveal fine detail and particle distribution with strong contrast.
